On 18th February 2025, the International Workshop “Rethinking Responsibility in the Face of 21st Century Challenges” / “Ripensare la Responsabilità di fronte alle Sfide del XXI secolo” will be held at the University of Verona, Aula Menegazzi (Ex Palazzo di Economia), Via dell’Artigliere 19, Verona. The event will take place both in person and online (please contact giulia.battistoni@univr.it to receive the Zoom link to participate remotely).

The event, organised by Dr. Giulia Battistoni and Prof. Giorgio Erle. The workshop is part of the activities of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie research project “ReNa” (Collective Responsibility towards Nature and Future Generations), funded by the European Union and carried out by Dr. Giulia Battistoni from the Department of Human Sciences at the University of Verona, under the supervision of Prof. Giorgio Erle, from the same department.

The workshop aims to explore the challenges that contemporary issues pose to the concept of responsibility. Through an analysis of topics related to bioethics, environmental ethics, and law, the event will highlight the need for a revision of the concept of responsibility to ensure its applicability to the complex dilemmas of our time.
